Our many volunteers continue to make Rice Estate the great place it is to live. Some choose to help in our administration with various tasks while others assist in community events.
Many of our volunteers have forged friendships with residents and staff to be lifelong Rice Estate family members.
We encourage those who exhibit a passion for helping others and for making a difference in the lives of seniors to contact us for available volunteering opportunities.
This volunteer aids residents during craft times. The volunteer can help encourage residents to participate in crafts, talk with them during the craft, and help them with the craft.
This volunteer helps residents during the bingo games. The volunteer encourages the resident to play bingo and helps residents play bingo.
This volunteer would visit with a particular resident or a group of residents. You spend time with this resident, get to know them, interact with them, talk with them, and walk with them.
Musicians are needed to share their musical talents with residents. Any type of instrument from piano, voice, guitar, and more. Musicians are needed to provide activities for residents like sing-a-long opportunities or to play for our worship services across campus.
This volunteer would run a devotional or Bible study with residents. The volunteer would help encourage residents to participate in the activity and lead the devotional study.
This volunteer assists with various trips to different local stores. You will assist residents in getting on and off the bus and storing their wheelchair/walker in the storage of the bus. At the shop, you help that resident with their shopping. For field trips, you help as needed depending on that field trip.
This volunteer will lead residents in a walking club to keep them physically active.
This volunteer would lead an activity that they want to do. You would encourage residents to participate in the activity and lead them through it.
This volunteer would help with various clerical needs across campus such as filing, answering phone calls, organizing, and more.
Transport residents to historical places or futuristic utopias all in the comfort of their home community. When you read to residents, you're encouraging imagination, memories, and joy.
Use your knowledge of everything from technology and science to art and gardening to teach and inspire residents who are eager to learn and participate in your educational class.
